Therapy
Healing and Transformation
We are not your typical traditional talk therapists. Instead, we specialize
in powerful therapeutic modalities that help people work through and
recover from unresolved trauma. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization
and Reprocessing) and Ego State Therapy (a form of parts work) are a
few of the modalities we use to do this. With an underlying spirit of
compassion and gentle support, we use these powerful approaches to
address deep-rooted issues and facilitate profound change that go well
beyond talk therapy.

Yes, Every Person is Unique
Because of this, we will customize each session to your needs and goals. Transformation
can be seen as a slow shifting of the self, measured by an increased compassion for
yourself and others. We want to help you make the shift. Below you will find a few
examples of ways Three Valley Wellness is distinct from traditional talk-therapy, as we
advocate for our clients in their journey of healing from a ground-up approach.
Expanding Healing
Strong emotions and memories are often intertwined within dysfunctional thoughts and behaviors – all often legacies of a painful past. Our therapeutic approaches are highly beneficial in helping you not just manage the intensity of these emotions and sensations, but truly process them. And, ultimately, heal from them. So, you can live fully in the present and surrounded in well-being.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR serves as the foundation and structure of our treatment approach. Although you may not immediately notice eye movements during our sessions, rest assured that EMDR is at the core of what we do. By adopting an EMDR lens, we gain valuable insights into your challenges and determine the best starting point for treatment. Whether you are fully aware of past traumas or unsure of the causes of your current struggles, EMDR helps us streamline and organize our therapeutic journey.
Ego State Therapy (Parts Work)
Ego State Therapy, also known as “parts work”, offers a deep yet gentle approach to understanding the underlying problems and finding ways to transform them. Have you ever wondered why you feel and act the way you do? If you find yourself asking, “How do I fix it?” you are not alone. As humans, we are adaptable, learning to navigate our environments as we grow. However, the coping mechanisms we developed during difficult situations in childhood may no longer serve us as adults, especially if we grew up in dysfunctional families.
What You Can Expect
Your Therapy journey begins with an FREE 20 minute consultation phone call. Based on this initial consultation, we will determine if our practice is the right fit for you and your personal needs. If we determine it is a good fit, we’ll set up your first session.
Your first session is your intake and assessment session. This session typically takes 75-80 minutes, from this session we will work together to determine the right treatment and frequency for you and your personal needs.
Recurring therapy sessions are typically conducted in person at our office or by a secured Telehealth portal. Sessions can last around 1 hour for our regular sessions or 2-4 hours for intensive therapy sessions , and the number of sessions required varies depending on your unique circumstances.
“Doing EMDR with “Parts” work has been EXTREMELY beneficial and helpful to me. I found it helpful to really go back and explore key events that have happened in my life has allowed me to see and make
connections as to why I am the way I am in relationships.”
